ART BY jhaddock

I love doing different kinds of art. Watercolor (including
acrylic, gouache and inks) and soft pastels are my
favorite mediums. I paint what I see in nature while
doing my walks in the woods or around the
neighborhood, and what I experience while traveling.
My grandchildren are very special to me so drawing and
painting their portraits has been a real thrill.
Although I have done some realistic pieces, my real
passion is abstracts. These, however, are influenced by
the shapes and colors that I see in nature. My recent
works include experimental art pieces in acrylic,
gouache, and inks.
I am a member of Johnson County Art Guild, Cleburne,
Texas, Arlington Visual Arts Association, Arlington,
Texas, TAC in Fort Worth, Lake Granbury Art
Association, Granbury, Texas, and a Signature member
of the Watercolor Society, Fort Worth, Texas . I have
exhibited in Cleburne, Fort Worth, Arlington, DeSoto,
Granbury, Graham, Texas, and in Monett, Missouri. I
have been awarded several first place ribbons at my
local art associations, first place ribbons in Graham,
Texas, Best of Show in Fort Worth, and the Charles Inge
award in the Rio Brazos show in Granbury, Texas.
