ART BY jhaddock
I love doing different kinds of art.  Watercolor (including
acrylic, gouache and inks) and soft pastels are my
favorite mediums.  I paint what I see in nature while
doing my walks in the woods or around the
neighborhood, and what I experience while traveling.
My grandchildren are very special to me so drawing and
painting their portraits has been a real thrill.

Although I have done some realistic pieces, my real
passion is abstracts.  These, however, are influenced by
the shapes and colors that I see in nature.  My recent
works include experimental art pieces in acrylic,
gouache, and inks.

I am a member of Johnson County Art Guild, Cleburne,
Texas,   Arlington Visual Arts Association, Arlington,
Texas, TAC in Fort Worth,
Lake Granbury Art
Association, Granbury, Texas,
and a Signature member
of
the Watercolor Society, Fort Worth, Texas .  I have
exhibited in Cleburne, Fort Worth, Arlington, DeSoto
,
Granbury,
Graham, Texas, and in Monett, Missouri.  I
have been awarded several first place ribbons at my
local art associations
, first place ribbons in Graham,
Texas
, Best of Show in Fort Worth, and the Charles Inge
award in the Rio Brazos show in Granbury, Texas.
