ART BY jhaddock
I love doing different kinds of art.  Watercolor (including
acrylic, gouache and inks) and soft pastels are my
favorite mediums.  I paint what I see in nature while
doing my walks in the woods or around the
neighborhood, and what I experience while traveling.
My grandchildren are very special to me so drawing and
painting their portraits has been a real thrill.

Although I have done some realistic pieces, my real
passion is abstracts.  These, however, are influenced by
the shapes and colors that I see in nature.  My recent
works include experimental art pieces in acrylic,
gouache, and inks.

I am a member of Johnson County Art Guild, Cleburne,
Texas,  Society of Watercolor Artists, Fort Worth, Texas,
Arlington Visual Arts Association, Arlington, Texas,
DeSoto Art League, DeSoto, Texas, and the International
Society of Experimental Artists .  I have exhibited in
Cleburne, Fort Worth, Arlington, DeSoto and Graham,
Texas.  I have been awarded several first place ribbons
at my local art associations and a first place ribbon in the
Graham, Texas, 2005 exhibit, a first place ribbon in the
Graham, Texas, 2006 exhibit
and a first place ribbon in
the Graham, Texas, 2007 exhibit
